Just to report that I also see that, too often. And pressing "Refresh" mixes the order of the tiles already played ...

The bug seems to occur when other people abandon tiles from one stack to select files from the other stack.

Still happening. I have a screenshot (where one of the stacks is "-7") but forgot to records the game number. I'll try to get one with a game table number too.

We have more information on this bug:

The bug happens ONLY in your opponent's stack counts. It never happens in yours. Reloading the page will fix the counts. To reproduce this bug, you need to abandon tiles in the development stack and then see what it looks like on another user's screen.

The bug seems to only happen when the other person abandons cards in the development stack. The cards are being decremented on other players' view of the Settlement stack, (but not all of the abandoned development cards decrement from the settlement number, just some).

Two different examples.
Turn A: Peter Mille abandoned development cards and then scouted again.

Peter Mille sees:

Turn B: Peter Mille abandoned development cards.

(Note that the opponent sees a blank card in the development space as well despite Peter MIlle having a card there.)

Two other things:

1. The sum of the two numbers seems to equal the total number of cards even if each number is incorrect.
2. The incorrect decrementing appears to be cumulative throughout the game:

often while playing it will show that the in construction areas of other players are empty. when they are not.

I get this issue in every game. Frequently see negative card numbers. Annoying to have to refresh to get accurate numbers, especially in a real time game.

I saw it a lot yesterday on Firefox. I could see cubes appearing on my opponents empty stack. When I left the table and came back it was correct, but soon went wrong again.

My oppenent had 13 developments and -8 worlds. Yeah, right :)
F5 did the trick

Game #167075065, using Firefox 87.0

Before last move, count for my opponent's worlds showing "x-3", no top of stack visible.
End of game, was showing "x-4", but actual count was 0.

Just to say that I still observe this bug regularly enough.

It's annoying because it's a game where having correct information about what opponents have on the top of their stacks, as well as the size of the stacks, can be vital.

Two players, one using Chrome v91.0, one using Firefox, (more recent version unknown specific)
When Player 1 Abandons multiple tiles then reselects multiple tiles (we abandoned 2 then selected 3) the count of tiles on Players 2 screen became incorrect.
This may have happened after an initial Abandon of a single tile.
Basically, Player 1 Abandoned a single tile, both players finished turn.
Next turn Player 1 Abandoned two tiles. both player finished turn.
Next turn both players did not 'Explore' during that turn it was noticed that the count of tiles was incorrect for Player 2.

Similar problem I see on most or every game. Using firefox.
I, this game, my opponents piles said x1 and x-1, even though they were actually both zero (0).
F5 did solve the problem.

I love how BGA continues resolutely ignores all the bugs in this game... the admin can't even be bothered to acknowledge them, much less fix them–and this is how they handle a "Premium" game?

Kudos to HedgieWedgie for providing highly detailed info on the bug, though... somehow it makes the lack of admin attention all the more appalling.

The tile counters are always wrong for my opponents and there's usually a point in the game in which I cannot even see what tiles the opponent has out, which affects my ability to strategize. Please please please please fix this. It's been like this for years.

I'm seeing this bug in nearly every Roll For the Galaxy game I play. Seems to happen when players abandon tiles during the scouting action.

Same, same, same. Every single game I have to refresh regularly to see other players' cards.

C'mon, y'all. This poor game has several bugs and it's languishing. I know you are throwing energy into other games, but please tend to the ones that us loyal BGA subscribers play. Thanks.

I also see this basically every game. As noted above already, it appears to happen after abandoning tiles and affects only what you can see in other people's construction stacks, your own stacks are unaffected by this issue (at least on your screen).

I find that it happens most frequently when I have switched away from the tab that BGA is running in, but it has appeared even when I haven't switched away.

I mostly played turn-based where this is not likely to be observed, but playing some real-time tables it was easy to spot. I have the feeling that the discarded tiles are deducted from the wrong stack (i.e. for discarded developments the counter for worlds is decremented).
