I was testing a game of Carcassonne out by using hotseat against myself to see how the works on BGA. While playing as the red player, I placed a road horizontally (the only legal placement in that area). After I placed it, the road appeared to rotate vertically, which would be an illegal placement. However, as turns went on, I could tell it was purely visual.
Whenever it was the other color (Blue's) turn, the road would appear correctly as horizontal.
