It's easy to miss what cards people play in battle, especially in turn-based, when there are multiple battles since (the beginning of) your last turn. In realtime it's possible to miss seeing battle cards if you leave your computer after doing a turn or something.
Since the discarded battle cards can already be viewed (which is nice), it would solve all the remaining issues related to knowing the used battle cards, if the known cards in peoples' hands could be viewed. -
