Unfortunately, it doesn't go into detail as to how this would work, but I'd suggest each player picks from the whole pool alternatively until the correct amount of each card type has been chosen*, then perhaps make the 2nd chooser the 1st player

*To clarify, I don't think all of one category needs to be picked before the next, so P1 could pick a Basic, P2 could pick a Spell, P1 could pick an Advanced, P2 could pick a Curse, P1 could pick a Basic (now Basics are fully picked, all remaining Basics are faded out)
